Celebrating Balshastri Jambhekar Jayanti at GGMC & JJH

We had the honor of celebrating the birth anniversary of *Balshastri Jambhekar*, the father of Marathi journalism, at Grant Government Medical College & J. J. Hospital. The event was graced by our esteemed guests: 📌 *Chief Guest: Respected **MLA Deepak Kesarkar Sir* 📌 *Dean: Dr. **Pallavi Saple* 📌 *Medical Superintendent: Dr. **Sanjay Surase* 📌 *Vice Dean: Dr. **Gajanan Chavan* 🎤 The program was successfully organized by the *Immunohematology and blood transfusion Department*. *About Balshastri Jambhekar:* Balshastri Jambhekar (1812–1846) was a pioneer in Marathi journalism and social reform. He founded the first Marathi newspaper, Darpan, and played a key role in spreading awareness about education, science, and social change. His contributions continue to inspire generations!
